Don't be afraid to share secrets

Share your secrets safely with temporary URLs.

Who can see your secrets?

When you put secrets into a messaging or collaboration app, assume it will be stored forever. Passwords, API/SSH keys, Social Security Numbers, and more. Your secrets are at the mercy of cyber criminals, your boss, or the new IT intern who doesn't understand privacy yet.

Sometimes you can't avoid sharing secrets...

We get it. That's why we're here! There are many types of secrets and people who need to share them.
Passwords

Have a password that you absolutely must share? Use OutBand to make sure only the intended audience gets a copy.

SSH/API Keys

Need a new team member to connect to that AWS instance? Adding a new system administrator to your CI/CD server? Don't let SSH keys live forever in a collaboration or messaging tool.

Recurring Secrets

Sometimes we have to share the same sensitive information multiple times. For example, signing up for insurance, refinancing your mortgage, applying for student loans, etc. Identity theft is a serious threat. Don't let those details live forever in text messages or emails.

IT Support / Admins

Safely send customers and colleagues sensitive information like passwords and keys.

InfoSec / Compliance

Preventing data loss, non-repudiation, and illegitimate access is difficult when your collaboration, email, and ticketing apps are being used like credential databases. Be the solution by providing a way for users to securely share secrets.

Developers / Ops

Pumping out new features and keeping the lights on sometimes requires some credential swapping... especially for those pesky, legacy systems.

How does OutBand work?

Give OutBand your secret and a deadline for retrieval. We'll give you a unique, single-use URL to share with a customer or colleague.

The secret you give us is encrypted in our vault. It can't be decrypted without context included in the single-use URL. OutBand can't even decrypt it until the URL is visited.

Once the URL has been used to retrieve the secret or the timer runs out, the encrypted secret will be removed from our system forever.

No more secrets lingering in Outlook and Slack for years to come.
